About the Artist

As a boy growing up on a farm in North Texas, I was shaped by the culture of small town life in rural Texas. Our school did not have much of an art class, but luckily I had a neighbor that was a dedicated painter. She taught me the basics and the rest of my education in painting has been mostly self-taught. Most of my paintings have been in oil and pretty traditional in subject and technique. Recently, I have expanded into acrylics and abstracts, and I'm having a blast. Although I live in the city now, my art often reflects that boy on the farm. I am fascinated with painting water and lately I have been attempting to incorporate feelings into my art.
